About Us
Welcome to Vision Valley School, where the journey of education is as unique as the story behind its creation. Our school, founded by the visionary couple Gavin and Rhoda Jordaan from South Africa, is more than just a place of learning—it's a community rooted in Christian values, dedicated to providing quality education on the picturesque island of Madagascar.
Our Story:
Back in the 1990s, Gavin and Rhoda Jordaan discovered a calling during their visits to Madagascar with their local South African church. They recognized a need for quality education on the island, sparking the vision to establish a junior school and a church. In 1999, they courageously relocated to Madagascar, and in 2000, the seeds of education were planted at the Jordaan home in Androhibe, Antananarivo. From humble beginnings with just their two children and one other child, the school has flourished into a vibrant community of over 250 students representing more than 14 different nationalities and spanning from preschool to grade 12.

Our Approach:
At Vision Valley School, our medium of instruction is English, complemented by French as a second language and Malagasy as conversational studies. We believe in dynamic education, employing interactive teaching, collaborative learning, and project-based approaches to create an engaging and participatory learning environment that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork among our diverse student community.
We are registered with the local education department, undergo regular government inspections, and are governed by a dedicated board of directors. Our financial support comes from school fees, the Jordaan Family Trust, and generous donations from parents and well-wishers.
In 2017, Vision Valley School achieved a milestone by receiving approval from Pearson Edexcel, a respected British examination body, allowing us to offer our students IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and A-Level academic qualifications.
